In 1998, there was a push in government to improve the efficiency and quality of services being provided to Aboriginal Communities by going to the open market. We were approached and formed a joint venture with Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation to create Kimberley Regional Service Providers.
Our extensive local knowledge and established relationships in the region was an integral part of the success of our tender and enabled us to offer a unique advantage that benefited a local Aboriginal Corporation, Marra Worra Worra, and the communities we came to provide services to.
As much as our understanding of the logistics required to have staff in some of the most remote locations allows us to continue providing services to communities over 423,000 square kilometres, our relationships with those communities have contributed to our commitment to creating positive outcomes for Aboriginal communities beyond the provision of Essential and Municipal Services. Gary continues to play a strong role in supporting the Fitzroy Crossing Community and the Kimberley Region.
